IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
Definition: A professional association that develops and promotes standards. The IEEE 802 standards are focused on communication protocols for wireless local area networks (WLANs).
eRx (Electronic Prescribing)
Definition: A type of computer technology whereby physicians use handheld or personal computer devices to review drug and formulary coverage and to transmit prescriptions to a printer or to a local pharmacy.
E-prescribing software can be integrated into existing clinical information systems to allow physician access to patient specific information to screen for drug interactions and allergies.

Definition: Mobile Health or mHealth is a term that describes the use of mobile devices to improve health care.
These devices include mobile phones, PDAs, monitoring devices, and any other wireless devices that are implemented to support a health practice.
MHealth devices are used to collect patient data, transfer clinics' data, between researchers, and even on devices that monitor patients in a health care provider's office.
